We have a lasagna recipe that we always use for Pot Luck night and also whenever it calls for a lasagna (especially when the whole family get together!)
This recipe was adapted from George on Masterchef. His recipe was alot of work but we loved the flavours so we make our own version!
Ingredients:
Bolognaise:
Splash of Olive Oil
500grms Premium Beef
1 Onion
1 Carrot, grated
2 Celery Sticks, diced
1 cup Frozen Peas and Corn
3 cloves garlic, minced
6 button mushrooms, diced
1 Jar of Bolognaise Sauce (or make your own – )
Fresh Basil and Oregano
Paprika to taste
1/4 cup Worcester Sauce (or to taste)
Pepper to taste
Fresh Lasagna sheets (to make them easier to handle heat in microwave for 30seconds)
1 Jar of Bechamel Sauce (or make your own – recipe to come)
5 Hard Boiled Eggs, sliced
1 packet of Prosciutto
1 packet of Baby Mozzarella
1 cup Cheddar Cheese
Instructions:
Hard boil eggs in a pot, allow to cool to peel easier.
In large frying pan (or pot) brown mince in olive oil, remove from pan and use a strainer drain into a bowl, set aside.
Fry onion and carrots in pan until soft.
Add mince to pan, reheat.
Add garlic, peas and corn and mushrooms
Add jar of Bolognaise sauce, once bubbling add basil, oregano, paprika, Worcester sauce and pepper to taste.
Bring to boil then simmer for 20 minutes.
Heat oven at 180 degrees
Lay Lasagna sheets into lasagna dish (rectangle glass dish is best)
Place some bolognaise over lasagna sheets
Lay sliced egg, prosciutto, mozzarella over bolognaise.
Spread Bechamel Sauce over and repeat 3 – 4 times.
Last layer of lasagna place Bechamel Sauce on top then spread over Cheddar Cheese.
Bake in oven for 40 minutes.
Serve with home made .
I took this one to my Mother-In-Laws for Sunday night dinner

That sounds amazing Yvette! Would you believe, I've never made Lasagne! Disgusting I know!
I'm going to try this recipe this week!
Thanks for the inspiration
Yummy!
Oh yeah, yum. Just. Yum. Love lasagna, any lasagna. This one looks particularly delicious!!
LOL, still sounds like a lot of work, but looks yummy. Rachel x
Any lasagna is a winner with me
Wow, that's a helluva meal – eggs for extra protein, lots of vegies! Stick dessert between a layer and you've covered every base!
Looks delish! Bet this one goes quickly during pot luck!
Lasange is a favourite in my house, I probably make it at least every month. But I've never included egg or prosciutto… must try that. Lately I've cheated and used a pasta sauce (sometimes with added tomato and garlic) in the bolognaise, but I always make my own bechamel. So that makes it ok, right?
That sounds pretty good – though I can't quite get my head around eggs in lasagne. I may just have to try it.
That IS lasange with a twist!! No sure I would ever eat it – I'm not an egg liker…But my Billies might like it
Yum!!!!! I loooooove lasagne – one of my fave meals.
It looks great. I just need to take the meat out and I'd inhale it. Rachel xx
