This is a product review for Wine Selectors
This is it! The Adult version of Bento! I have reached a stage where I have been asked to review wine – in particular Wine Selectors! Is this the holy grail of blogging? I am not sure. However it was nice to be asked and certainly proceeded to be an interesting challenge!
I was given the option to choose two wines from . I had no idea what to choose, so I phoned my friend Tony who works in the Barossa Valley and asked him what he thought I would like. I have known him since I was 16 so he knew what I liked and what I wouldn’t like (we use to drink Tequilla together when there was nothing else to do on a Saturday night) When he asked me what I would eat with the wine, I told him that I wanted to do an Adult Bento Box and make alcoholic sorbet!
So together we choose (you pair it with a – and that just screams YUMMY to me!) and . Both of these wines come from the new from Wine Selectors.
My Friday night bento boxes is becoming quite popular (especially with the friends that drop around for games night – we don’t make dinner anymore we just serve lots of nibblies in bento boxes). These are great for movie night on your own or with a special someone – you just grab and nibble what you want its fabulous!
On the Adult Bento Box menu:
Pinot Gris 2011
Chicken Sushi
Chilli and Garlic Olives
Chicken Pate and Bruchetta Crackers
Wasabi Peas and Spicy Beans
Strawberries and Chocolate Roll
It was actually a great pairing of wine for one of my boxes – I quite enjoyed the Pinot Gris – even though I am a more Verdelho girl myself!
Rose Raspberry Sorbet
Ingredients:
1 cup Sparkling Rose
2 cup Frozen Raspberries
3 tablespoons Icing Sugar
1 cup Ice
Mix all ingredients up in a food processor. Pop into a freezer container and pop in the freezer for min 3 hours before serving.
If you wanted to use this sorbet before you pop it into the freezer – it will go perfectly drizzled onto a dark chocolate tart!!
*** To make this sorbet child friendly – omit the sparkling rose and it will still be yummy
The raspberry sorbet was so delicious!! The Sparkling Rose was lovely to drink and had lots of fruity flavours.
Linking up with Trish from My Little Drummer Boys for Wordless Wednesday.
Little Bento Blog (and myself) do not condone serving alcohol or alcoholic food to persons under the age of 18 – nor do I condone drink driving.
Please think before you drink!

Wish I could drink at the moment – that sorbet looks amazing. Crazy Mr Monkey doesn’t like berries so I’d have it all to myself
