One of my ‘quick meals’ for my children if we have been out all day and not had time to organise dinner is a quick creamy pasta! They love it, I love it and it is so simple!

All you need to do is your favourite cooked pasta, a dollop of cream and a few herbs and spices!

Today we cooked our Egg Noodles, drained the water and popped the noodles back into the saucepan, added the cream and paprika, cooked back under the grill and chopped up into little bits, chopped up leftover BBQ Chicken and added a few tablespoons of sweetcorn. Heated through for a minute and then served with a boiled egg on top.

My kids like this hot or cold leftovers in their lunch the next day! Just ensure you pop an icepack into the lunchbox!!

On the menu:
Quick Creamy Pasta with Bacon, BBQ Chicken and Hard Boiled Egg
Strawberries
Raisins
Wheat Crackers

Served in the Bento Lunchbox.

I have read many posts (even Wiki) to learn how to make heart shape strawberries. Something so sweet to bring happiness in a lunchbox! I discovered that there are many ways to make fruit, vegetables and even meat into heart shapes!! Here is my step by step for simple heart shape strawberries.

How to make Heart Shape Strawberries

1 Strawberry
1 Sharp Knife

Wash the strawberries and pat dry with a paper towel.
Take off the leaves.
Cut strawberries in half.
Cut the top middle into a V shape – the longer/thinner the V the better.
You can then round the edges.
You can slice the strawberries again to make four slices.
