I have always struggled to get my daughter to eat fruit. I remember when she was 18 months old, and we were at one of our mothers groups. A platter of fruit was on the floor for all the toddlers, who were eating the fruit like they were going out of fashion. My daughter was the only one who didn’t even touch it. She still struggles eating fruit, however we keep putting it on her plate and encouraging her to try it.

When presenting their lunch yesterday, I accidentally created a strawberry butterfly, while trying to arrange the food on the plate. Simple, easy.. and effective! It definitely caught her eye..

On the menu:
Peanut Butter Sandwiches (using Tip Top’s The One bread)
Pikelets
Cheese
Strawberries
Raisins

Summer is well and truly here in Perth! Which calls for quick, easy, cool (as in cold!) lunches to have on a hot day!

One type of lunch I love making in Summer is a Pasta Salad, especially that is able to keep in the fridge for a couple of days, just to nibble on or to have for lunch a few days in a row. I usually make up a big batch on Monday morning and have it there for the kids during the week.

They love the variations you can have from different sauces: Mayo, Tomato Sauce & Mayo, Olive Oil, Salad Dressings
Different ingredients: Different styles of Pasta, Sweetcorn, Cheese, Ham, Tomato, Cucumber, Chicken, Beans, spring onion, lettace, carrot.

On the menu:
Tri Colour Pasta, Sweetcorn, Cheese and Ham (cut into boats, cars and whales)
MissC had a no dressing on her pasta salad today.

What ingredients would you include in your pasta salad? And what dressing?
