I had this thought in my head for a while, on holding a High Tea for MissC. Since her Godmother Panda stayed with us (visiting from the UK) she has loved the ‘art of drinking tea’ although she doesn’t drink tea, she will have warm milk in a mug and call it Tea.
With a playdate arranged with one of our closest friends, I decided to bring over my latest find – a melamine High Tea platter for children.
The children were so excited all morning! As soon as i brought out the platter, their eyes lit up like it was Christmas!!
Dressed in their party dresses and hairclips from , the girls were all ready for their High Tea – complete with teacups and a (fake) teapot.
MissC is on the left with her dark curly hair!
On the menu today:
Peanut Butter Star Sandwiches, Sausage Rolls and Party Pies.
Cupcakes, Lamington Square, Sponge Roll.
Strawberries, Kiwi Fruit and Watermelon.
MissC was licking her lips ready to eat all the goodies that was on display!!
The girls thoroughly enjoyed their high tea. Pouring a cup of tea each and diving into the cupcakes first (as all little girls would do)!
Something MissC talked about all the way home, and when Daddy came home from work, it was all she could tell him! High Tea with cake!
Will we be doing this again? Absolutely!!
It was a beautiful way to see the girls interact with their food.
I have more thoughts on how to host a “Bento” High Tea (and what to serve there) – so keep your eyes out for the next installment!!
Are you a friend of my new ?
