HELLO!!! *WAVING*

Can you see I am SO excited??

I have left the building… for the weekend..


I am heading down south to stay at a swish hotel for my Drew and mine HONEYMOON!! 

Just think.. chocolate factory.. wineries and breweries!

Yes, I know we got married in March.. but this is the first time we have been able to get time off work, combined with my parents babysitting… 

AND I AM SO EXCITED!!! Really can you tell??

I am also going to ‘TRY’ REAL HARD as much as I can resist… to be social media free.. for the whole weekend.. I am laughing as I type this.. but Drew keeps complaining whinging mentioning I spend a bit too much time on facebook, twitter, blogger and then the phone aswell.

So my challenge to myself (I know I am going to fail as soon as we set off) is to keep blogging, facebooking, twitter to a minimum. 

OK for the record for future reference – do not mention that you have written a ‘Social Media Free Weekend’ style blog. Because now Drew says.. NO laptop and mobile phone will probably have no signal! 

Just me and Drew.. no lil squirts.. in a swish hotel.. by the beach.. ok I need to pack :) 

If you see me online – please kindly remind me that I am on my honeymoon and you will all be here when I get back on Sunday night??!! 

You will be here right? :)

MissC’s 3rd Birthday

MissC turned three on Monday.. this year we decided just to have a family party (on each side of the family!)

Saturday night was MissC’s & Great Grandad Bowyers birthday party – it was Great Grandad Bowyer’s 85th birthday.. or so Drew’s mum kept telling us.. except it wasn’t. He was quite miffed that he was actually turning 84 not 85!! BIG mixup!! 
We made him this photo for his birthday anyway.. to show the four boy generations :)

Sunday afternoon we spent with my parents and sisters family. Birthday afternoon tea. Nanna and Grampy had just come back from a month away – including Calgary Rodeo (so jealous) and they got cowboy hats when they landed as part of their welcoming! The lil man took a liking to Grampy’s hat..

When making a rainbow spot cake with your cakepop tray. Ensure that you use lots of food colouring to make bright colours and ensure that you pack the cakepop’s into the cake pan and make a smaller cake.

whats the diagnosis?

Are you fricking kidding me? 



That is what I thought as my lady week started for the fifth time in 10 or so weeks.


Let me go back to when it first started…


April 27th I had my LEET procedure.. for HPV CINIII (Pre-cancerous Cells) – an important lesson in why every woman should have a .


I was on the pill up until that day. After that I stopped taking the pill. I had a normal lady cycle month.. then two weeks later I had another lady week.. and two weeks after that I had another lady week and two weeks after that.. (you get the picture?)


Now this was not your normal lady week.. I felt like I was a teenager again… heavy bleeding, cramps that bowled me over, short temper, weight gain, massive bloatiness and lots of acne popping up everywhere. 


Ok so I am 31.. NOT 18 but seriously.. I’ve had acne since I was 10.. I thought it would be gone by now or atleast not like this!


Last Tuesday I decided it was time to see the Dr. Although I am seeing my Gyno in October for a followup colonoscopy and papsmear to check the HPV CINIII is all gone. But this couldn’t wait.

The Doctors diagnosis? 


Hmm lets see it could be the HPV again.. but we can’t test for that until 6 months (as it may still be in my system from last time)… 


so you could be going through Menopause… 


WHAT?


Thats right! I got tested for Menopause.. 


Now I know this is NO laughing matter.. and really it could happen to any woman..


BUT SERIOUSLY?! MENOPAUSE?? I am 31.. it doesn’t run early in my family..

I literately laughed.. and laughed all the way to the blood clinic and all the way home.. and laughed again while I started writing this… 


Because hey! 


After the year I have had with the wedding, HPV CINIII, MasterS’s flexible legs and everything else that gets thrown at us day to day.. 


why not throw Menopause into the equation!! Its so logical!


Fast forward to Friday.. 


Out to lunch with two lovely blogging ladies, I made the phone call to the Doctors Surgery…


The results were in… 


and as suspected… 


I was NOT going through menopause! 


*phew*!

So back to the drawing board to find out what the problem is.. 


but for now I have my two day honeymoon to look forward to this weekend!!
